Another wonderful experience of drawing an incredible memory of a Great Pyrenees named Pyrless :)
This incredible creature had an impressive life and what an impact he has made...
See his story in his drawing video (found in the gallery tab).
Pyrless was sooooo white that I had to be super careful with the shadows, I didnt want to make him too dark. He needed to look clean and crisp and the entire drawing needs to feel like a fresh breath of air. I feel like I can say "I've accomplished just that" :) I am so very proud of this drawing. He was so beautiful.
Time: 22 hrs drawing time
Size: 16' x 12'
Medium: Prismacolor and Polychromos Colored Pencils on Arches Watercolor Paper 120gsm.
I've managed to find some extra time to do something I've been meaning to do so I re-drew a drawing that I did of my mother in January 2014. We are now in April 2015 so its been a little more than a year to show how my work has evolved, I guess you can say. I adore my mother and while drawing her I could see a lot of myself in her eyes. She has a wonderful beauty and shines positive energy through her being with everyone she comes in contact with. I only hope that I've captured a small amount of that for you to see too :)
I also hope that other artist looking at this can find some encouragement to keep creating because the improvement in as little as a year will surprise you :)
What a magical day this was.
When I woke up this morning my facebook page had reached over 1000 followers.
Most of those followers were thanks to my drawing of Fonto. I finally managed to post Fonto's original drawing across the world to the US. And to top it all off I sold the drawing of the African Violet for $360 AU (and I only finished that drawing yesterday). Just unreal.
Here are some progress photos of the African Violet.
Be sure to check out the video in the gallery tab.
To all my followers...YOU GUYS ROCK! Thanks for driving me to do what I love and thank you for just enjoying my work.
